Ten Greatest Teen Movies

10. Can't Hardly Wait
9. Cruel Intentions
8. Fast Times at Ridgemont High
7. 10 Things I Hate About You
6. Ferris Bueller's Day Off
5. Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
4. Bring it On
3. Pretty in Pink
2. Mean Girls
1. Clueless

And yes, I'm saying Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead is better than Dirty Dancing because Dirty Dancing sucks tremendously.

...where's Heathers? Or Sixteen Candles? Or the Outsiders?

Absolutely no Sixteen Candles, and Heathers was a close call. I haven't seen The Outsiders in years, so I can't properly judge it.

That's a seriously good list. Kudos! I'm wondering if Stand By Me counts as a "teen movie". If so, that would have to be in my top 10. And Debbie Does Dallas-- the classic tale about high school girls who whore themselves out to send their colleague to Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader camp.

Thank you thank you thank you.

I have always thought Dirty Dancing was a shit movie. I thought it when all my friends were so damn ga ga.

I feel vindicated.

Dirty Dancing is a classic, even if it is crap. But since I don't think of it as a teen movie, I can't argue with your not including it. And I also never cared much for Heathers, so there you go.

I don't know if they should be included in the Top Ten, but what about The Breakfast Club and American Pie? Mean Girls was pretty damn good (just saw that for the first time), and I love Bring It On.
