Zach Braff

I really, really don't get it. Does he possess an Everyman quality I'm not picking up on? Do women seriously find him attractive, like he's some kind of lesser Dobler? I can't be the only one who finds his schtick trite. It's banality posing as emotional depth by way of soundtrack. Please don't let me be the only person who sees this.

I don't know much about him, but I saw that movie he was in (I can't remember the name of it: the one where he goes back to "Jersey" to reconnect with his family). It sucked. It was such a "Hollywood Indie". You know what I mean? Like it pretended to be cool and edgy, but in reality, it was just the same old MOR bullshit with a "hipper" soundtrack. A poor man's Wes Anderson.

Ashley.

Following on my previous post, is Wes Anderson hot? I think he is. Please advice.

Wes Anderson looks like Bernard Butler circa 1992 in that first photo you posted of him, so from me, he gets a thumbs up.

Zach Braff seems like such a douche.

I couldn't agree more. First he stole the ELIZABETHTOWN script and got away with GARDEN STATE, now he's stealing L'ULTIMO BACIO, a great recent Italian film, for THE LAST KISS. PLUS he got with Mandy Moore. ARRRGH!

Bernard Butler was the brilliant guitarist in Suede at the beginning with their first two albums. He was a gorgeous androgyne. Most people just think he's a massive twat now, but I still think he's beautiful. He's the one on the left here: http://suede-music.freeservers.com/images/newpic10.jpg

Oh. I suppose they do look similar. I don't know who Suede is, so I looked them up and heard the music. I don't mean to be rude, but it does not sound good to me at all. Are they popular?

Are you American or not British? ;p They weren't popular in the States. In Britain, they were a VERY BIG THING, particularly around 1992, and spiralled upwards to playing large ballrooms and such. They are extremely British in their lyrics, and just slightly less so in their music.

I do think they are an English institution.

Is their myspace profile an accurate reflection of their music? I thought the British had better taste.

Now I can see where Coldplay came from.

OMG! Coldplay did SO NOT come from Suede! Their self-titled debut and follow-up album, Dog Man Star, are BRILLIANT. I can't really say who they begat, as I don't think there's anyone remotely like them in music today. They're not around as Suede anymore, so I can't see a MySpace page of them.

Sorry for arguing about Suede on your blog, Ashley.

I think it's hilarious we got from Zach Braff to Suede in two steps. I'm sure Zachy himself would be proud if he had ever heard or Suede.

Yes. All in good fun!

I found this, is it them?

It certainly looks like the boy from your photo! I don't like the music, which makes me think the boy/man is not hot. Even if he does look like Wes Anderson!

Love you all and I love this blog!
