Oh! How I used to love the Monkees! My mom took me to see them when I was 6 or 7 cos I was so in love with Davey Jones. But then he had a mullet in concert, not a shiny mop top. What a shame.
Also, I remember seeing some recent documentary, god knows where, in which I learned he was from the Manchester area, and had a fantastic Manc accent, but the show's producers made him put on a stupid cockney-esque accent. What a shame.
I too grew up with a massive crush on Mr Jones (thanks to Nick @ Nite reruns) and saw him signing books at a Middle Tennessee mall about 10 years ago. He's really just as tiny as you think he's going to be.
